Polish shipyard industry to be merged into capital group by end-March 2004

Warsaw. November 19. INTERFAX-EUROPE - The consolidation of Poland's large but indebted shipyards will result in the creation of the Polish Shipyard Corporation (KPS) by the end of March 2004, the Polish daily "Puls Biznesu" reported Wednesday.

The KPS, to be incorporated by June 2004, will be set up by the state-run Industrial Development Agency (ARP), which first will become a shareholder of the financially troubled Gdynia shipyard.
