At least 11 DuPage County Board members plan to forgo their 5 percent raises - a mostly symbolic gesture to help the county through tough financial times.
"Everyone is doing their part," said board member Robert Heap of Naperville.
The names of the 11 board members who plan to skip raises were revealed Tuesday afternoon. The other seven could follow suit by next Tuesday when the board approves the final budget.
Most board members would be giving up $2,000 this year. But not everyone will be putting the money back into county coffers.
