NEW YORK -- Eagerly eyeing a bigger North American business, Furla will bow a new Manhattan retail flagship on Nov. 24.

The store, located next to MontBlanc on Madison Avenue and 57th Street, is spread over 1,000 square feet and will feature shoes, handbags, luggage, jewelry, sunglasses and belts. Modeled after Furla's latest prototype in Milan, the space features transparent Plexiglas shelving, light-grey Italian plaster and marble walls. Well-known Italian architect Paolo Cermasi, who has worked on Armani stores in Italy, opted for lighting that can change to allow the store's decor to appear red, green, pink and other muted colors.
