Nov. 20--When Michael Ibrahim served kabobs at his Middle Eastern restaurant in West Paterson, the aroma of freshly grilled meats was often smothered by a cloud of smoke rising from his customers' cigarettes.
"It was smoking all over the place," said Ibrahim of his McBride Avenue business. "It was terrible."
That ended this year, when Ibrahim snuffed out smoking at his King of Shish Kabob restaurant at the request of his customers. Signs were posted throughout the dining area telling patrons they were no longer permitted to light up indoors.
