Five months after a group of tenants at Syracuse's Nob Hill Apartments began to fight for more security and better living conditions, many residents remain divided over the quality of life at the complex.

Some tenants say Nob Hill is clean and safe. Others disagree.

Lawrence Turchin has lived there since 1991. He is content.

"I live here," he said. "There is nothing wrong with it, so why make it worse? Why draw attention to the fact that we have a nice place here?"

But Katherine Owens questions the complex's security. She left Nob Hill last month after living there for five years.
