SPANISH FORT, Texas _ Matt Brown is an equal opportunity employer. Brown owns and operates S.M. Brown Game Bird Ranch on the Red River north of Nocona. His bird dog kennel looks like role call at the United Nations.
About the only dog Brown doesn't run is an English pointer, the dog of choice for most serious Texas quail hunters.
"I don't have anything against pointers," Brown said as he was casting a diverse group of hunting dogs. "I guess I just like to be different."
