When Debbie and Jim Gascon started to build their dream home in Marcellus in July 2002, they thought about how their family of five lives now and how they would live after their children left home.
"A lot of planning went into this house," said Jim Gascon, an attorney with the firm of Costello, Cooney & Fearon LLP in Syracuse.
Part of the house is designed like a ranch, with a master bedroom and laundry room on the first floor, said Gascon.
Before the Gascons moved into their new house last month, they lived for a number of years in a raised ranch on a cul-de-sac in Fayetteville.
