Nov. 22--AUSTIN, Texas--A Fort Worth auto insurer serving less than 3 percent of the market has consistently drawn more customer complaints than top auto insurers, according to new data from the Texas Department of Insurance.
State and County Mutual Fire Insurance Company, ranked 13th among Texas auto insurers in the number of written premiums, nonetheless ranked first for customer complaints in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002, according to TDI data. Through the first 11 months of this year, the company ranked second, the agency reported.
