Nov. 20--UGI PROFTIS UP 31 PERCENT IN FOURTH QUARTER: Helped by colder weather, UGI Corp. on Wednesday reported improved results for the fiscal fourth quarter and fiscal year ended Sept. 30.
For the quarter, UGI's seasonal net loss dropped to $5.6 million from a net loss of $6.6 million in the year-earlier quarter.
Revenues grew 37.3 percent to $527.2 million from $384.0 million.
For the year, Valley Forge-based UGI said net profits surged 31.0 percent to $98.9 million from $75.5 million in the prior year. Revenues increased 36.7 percent to $3.03 billion from $2.21 billion.
