Nov. 23--Presidential candidate Howard Dean, who has proclaimed himself to be "from the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party," has yet to convert what might be called the party wing of the New Jersey Democratic Party.
Despite signs that Dean fever has spread among the state's voters, most of the party's leaders seem to have gotten their vaccinations. Whether because of its moderate leanings or provincial concerns, the Democratic establishment here has been hesitant to embrace the former Vermont governor.
