China's coal-to-oil project suspended
Shanghai. November 24. INTERFAX-CHINA - Domestic newspapers have recently been reporting about the coal-to-oil project in the Ejin Horo Banner in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. However, a senior official with the government of the region told Interfax that the construction of the project has been suspended.
"The primary reason for suspending the project is the technology, which has only achieved laboratory success," the official, who wished to remain anonymous, said during a telephone interview.
