AN attractive police clerk is accusing a former Chief Constable of using her in sex-smear allegations against the man credited with introducing zero-tolerance policing to Britain.

Jayne Thwaites, 36, claims that Barry Shaw, the now retired chief of Cleveland Police, spread malicious and false rumours that she was having an affair with former Detective Superintendent Ray 'Robocop' Mallon, who is married.

She alleges that MI5 agents followed her on Mr Shaw's orders and is taking High Court action against Cleveland Police and Cleveland Police Authority.
