Nov. 25--In a surprise shake-up, Delta Air Lines became the latest major U.S. airline to reboot its top management Monday, when it announced that Leo Mullin, chairman and chief executive, will step down next year.
He will be replaced as CEO by Gerald Grinstein, former Burlington Northern chairman and an airline industry veteran who has spent the last 16 years on Delta's board of directors. John F. Smith Jr., former chief executive of General Motors and another Delta board member, will take over as the airline's new chairman.
