What do the research editor and associate editors do? Any scientific journal is held to high standards. The Journal of Soil and Water Conservation is no exception. Before any research article is published in the Journal, it goes through a rigorous peer-reviewed process. Every author submits his or her manuscript to the Society's staff, who then begins tracking the manuscript as it goes through a detailed process. The research editor, Jorge Delgado, first assigns the paper to one of the 16 associate editors based on the expertise needed for that particular manuscript.
