The city of Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul state), may have the first Brazilian experience in large scale in the generation of energy through the biogas (organic waste). A technical cooperation deal for the development of a technical, financial and environmental feasibility study of the project is to be signed son between Eletroras, CGTEE (Companhia de Geracao Termica de Energia Eletrica) and the Porto Alegre city hall.
