NEW YORK -- In a significant shift from its 22-year heritage as a label best known for designer women's wear, Michael Kors will likely become a fashion brand with a majority of its business in men's wear, according to John Idol, the company's new CEO.
"Our men's business will be equal to or larger than women's. The opportunity in men's is explosive," said Idol, in a phone interview with DNR last Thursday, the day Michael Kors Inc. announced Idol would join the company as its top executive.
