Rates of unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are high among U.S. adolescents and young adults. (1) Although young men represent half the equation, public health solutions have typically targeted young women, and the vast majority of resources for preventing unintended pregnancy and STDs are allocated to young women.
