Wisconsin Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager has filed a civil suit against Cross Country Bank Inc., a Wilmington, DE, card issuer, for allegedly harassing cardholders, withdrawing money from their bank accounts without permission and failing to register with Wisconsin's Department of Financial Institutions to conduct business in the state. Lautenschlarger filed the civil complaint Friday in Dane County Circuit Court against Cross Country and Glen Mills, PA-based Applied Card Systems, which services Cross Country's accounts.
