MEDAN, Dec 1 Asia Pulse - Some vessels, allegedly used to smuggle tons of sugar and rice from Port Klang in Malaysia into Indonesia, were reported to have entered Tanjung Balai waters in Asahan district, North Sumatra.
Information obtained from some Malaysian shipcrews whose their vessel is laying anchore in Batam, Riau province, on Friday said that a number of vessels which are allegedly carrying rice and sugar have left Port Klang for Indonesian waters in North Sumatra and Riau.
"Their destination is North Sumatra and the smuggling vessels often lay anchor at Port Klang, said JL and IM, the two shipcrews who often serve South Asian region.
