Nov. 29--Two San Joaquin Valley cheese companies are hoping an international award will help boost their reputations as world-class cheese makers.
Borrelli Latticini of Fresno and Fiscalini Cheese Co. of Modesto recently won honors in the World Cheese Awards held in London, the largest international cheese competition.
In its 16th year, the event featured more than 1,000 cheeses made by more than 160 cheese makers representing 18 countries.
