ST. LOUIS, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Medicine Shoppe International, Inc., (MSI), a Cardinal Health company and the nation's leading chain of independent retail pharmacies, today announced plans to expand its geographic reach through an acquisition of Medicap Pharmacies Incorporated, a chain of 179 community pharmacies with locations in 33 states across the country. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
As part of MSI's strategy to build a world-class pharmacy system dedicated to providing expert, personalized care, the acquisition will significantly expand its reach by bringing the total number of stores to over 1,370 worldwide. ...
