Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine factors, which influence African American physical education majors, career choice to enter the adapted physical education (APE) profession. Participants were 70 (41 males, 29 females) African American undergraduate physical education teacher education (PETE) majors from 21 randomly selected historically Black colleges and universities. A mailed survey procedure was used to solicit information from participants.
