A hybrid mass spectrometer has reduced the time needed to analyze metabolites of drug compounds by two-thirds or more, according to researchers at the University of Geneva. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of metabolites becomes more critical as researchers attempt to move this process to the earlier phases of pharmaceutical development.
