Bids were opened on 27 October for the runway package on the Abu Dhabi International Airport (ADIA) expansion project (MEED 18:4:03).
According to the bid opening prices, a team of South Korea's Daewoo Engineering & Construction with the local Tamas has submitted a low bid of about AED 390 million ($106 million). It is followed by the local/South African venture of Al-Jaber Transport & General Contracting Establishment and Grinaker-LTA at AED 399 million ($108 million).
Five companies priced the 30-month contract, which covers the construction of a 4,100-metre runway parallel and link taxiways, navigational aids and associated works. The consultant for ...
