The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and MCH Basel Exhibition Ltd, the organizer of the Baselworld jewelry trade show, have signed new six-year agreement in Hong Kong that apparently will guarantee the Asian jewelry centers' participation at Europe's premier jewelry show, despite the debacle that occurred there in April 2003.
According to Frederick Lam, HKTDC deputy executive director, the new agreement represents "a new partnership between HKTDC and Baselworld [and] secures Hong Kong's participation for years to come on far more favorable terms."
