The energy contained in sunlight striking the earth in a 10-day period is equal to all the fossil fuel coal reserves in the world.
"So if we more effectively and efficiently capture that energy and convert it to our use, everyone is going to win," says Ernie Dorrill, who has one of three homes in Mississippi equipped with renewable energy devices such as solar panels and wind turbines as part of a demonstration project sponsored by the Mississippi Alternative Energy Enterprise (MAEE). "There really aren't going to be any losers in this technology. And I think it is movement that we really can't ignore in the future."
