Dec. 3--Businesses affiliated with U.S. Sen. Bob Bennett, R-Utah, owe more than $170,000 in overdue Salt Lake County property taxes dating back to 2001.
The Anniversary Inns -- a group of bed-and-breakfast hotels in Utah and Idaho -- also have had lots of problems paying sales and tourism room taxes. They racked up more than $140,000 in tax liens in recent years. Those debts have since been paid, according to court records, but sometimes up to 18 months late.
