Institutional investors around the globe are pouring more money into alternative investments, and plan to keep doing so through at least 2005.
Those are the findings of the sixth biennial survey of large institutional investors by Goldman Sachs Co. Inc., New York, and Russell Investment Group, Tacoma, Wash. Respondents included institutional investors each with more than $3 billion in investible assets.
This year, reports from North American investors show that they lead the world in allocations to private equity - an average of 7.5% per plan, compared with 4.2% for continental European investors, 3.6% for U.K. ...
