Save humanity from the blundering rhetoric of violence ("Protests mount against war," CNT Feb. 9).
The Christian message is not bound by narrow national boundaries, as you know. It would be a fatally flawed mistake for Christian churches to be misled by the demagoguery of any politician in acquiescing in the large-scale slaying of God's defenceless people--men, women and children--in any part of this planet for any political objective, since it violates two divinely given commandments: "Thou shall not kill" and "Thou shall not covet thy neighbour's property," which are essential for the peaceful co-existence of people and nations.
