Fire and Rescue Authorities were today invited to bid for a share of over GBP100m of funding under the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) to support projects that will build a better service that saves more lives.
Over the past five years more than GBP200m has been awarded to the Fire and Rescue Service under PFI.
