Article: Gmexico acquires five mining concessions in Chile.

MEXICO CITY, Dec 04, 2003 (El Economista/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- In an operation valued at US$3.7 million, mining company Southern Peru Copper Corporation (SPCC), a branch of Grupo Mexico (GMexico), acquired several mining concessions in Chile.

In a report sent to the Mexican Stock Exchange, the company said that the purchase of mining concessionaires in Chile is part of its strategy to look for new mineral reserves, which include exploring fields in Latin American countries as well as the internationalization of exploration operations.
