Novell turned up with a wider loss and lower revenues in its fiscal fourth quarter ended October 31.

The company lost $109 million, or 29 cents a share, including $130 million in non-recurring charges, on revenues of $287 million.

Software license revenues fell 25% to $70.5 million compared to $94.3 million this time last year.

Excluding charges, Novell earned $19 million, or five cents a share, two cents above the Street's calculations.

In 4Q02, Novell lost $92 million, or 25 cents a share, on revenues of $300 million.
