TOKYO, Dec 4 Asia Pulse - Nikon Corp. (TSE:7731) announced Wednesday that it plans to introduce a mass-market single-lens reflex (SLR) camera in March.
The interchangeable-lens D70, which is expected to sell for 100,000 - 150,000 yen (US$1,386), will be Nikon's first digital SLR camera for a mass audience. The company is looking to increase its market share by appealing to a broad sector of consumers, including those who are unfamiliar with SLR technology.
