I couldn't sleep the other night so I went to the computer and Googled ``insomnia cures.''
I was optimistic.
With all the medical advances of the past decade - pills to reduce cholesterol, pills to enhance erections, pills to improve mood and athletic performance - surely, I thought, something new and exciting is available to help the roughly one-third of Americans who have regular or occasional problems sleeping.
