Amazon.com's ever-expanding services will include a digital music store where customers can download the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Norah Jones and thousands of other artists.
The world's largest Internet retailer, looking to compete with Apple Inc.'s iTunes, said Wednesday that it would offer more than 12,000 record labels later this year without copyright protection.
Amazon.com will enter a partnership with EMI Music Group of Britain, and more labels will be announced when the service goes live.
