The Yi nationality (Yizu [TEXT NOT REPRODUCIBLE IN ASCII]) is one of the largest ethnic minority groups in southwest China, numbering over six million members, spread throughout the provinces of Yunnan [TEXT NOT REPRODUCIBLE IN ASCII], Sichuan [TEXT NOT REPRODUCIBLE IN ASCII], Guizhou [TEXT NOT REPRODUCIBLE IN ASCII], and parts of western Guangxi [TEXT NOT REPRODUCIBLE IN ASCII]. The nationality is comprised of over seventy subgroups, with ethnonyms such as Nuosu [TEXT NOT REPRODUCIBLE IN ASCII], Nasupo [TEXT NOT REPRODUCIBLE IN ASCII], Lolopo [TEXT NOT REPRODUCIBLE IN ASCII], Sani [TEXT ...
