The UN Security Council told Baghdad on 12 July to produce a list of all its nuclear installations and materials by 25 July, or face the consequences. These were not specified, but US President Bush has approved up to 100 potential targets, including military command and control centres, that will be bombed if Baghdad continues to ignore UN instructions to destroy all nuclear materials.
To date, Baghdad has produced three lists detailing its nuclear facilities. The third arrived on 15 July, and was immediately described as inadequate by the UN, which remains uncertain whether Iraq's disclosures revealed its full stock of nuclear equipment and materials. The ...
