CHRISTMAS is a good time to clear out window sills cluttered with pot plants and make a new start. It's also worth trying out a few fresh ideas as house plants are really getting the designer treatment these days.
Indoor bamboo grown as a sculpture is very trendy. You have probably seen bunches of green jointed stems growing in tiers in oriental pots, but there are other shapes too.
Tall green canes woven together in a trellis pattern with the leaves growing out of the top is a good arrangement. Or you could try training the plants into a flat triangular shape about a foot high in a long narrow tray - it looks stunning ...
