When the likes of Mia Hamm, Brandi Chastain, Katia, Sun Wen, and other top female athletes battled last month for the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Women's World Cup USA 2003 soccer championship, they benefited from years of practice and the experience gained from previous competitions.
