November, the month Americans go to the polls, is a good time to consider what lessons a political campaign may hold for security professionals. In general, political campaigns are designed to build a base of supporters for a cause or individual; chief security officers (CSOs) can use similar techniques to garner support for security policies. How this goal can be achieved entails looking deeper into the process for more specific lessons.
