Dec. 6--About 20,000 West Virginia families will gain greater access to affordable housing when Fannie Mae opens its statewide partnership office in Charleston early next year. Fannie Mae, the nation's largest source of financing for home mortgages, announced a five-year, $1.7 billion investment plan, the "American Dream Commitment," to finance affordable housing in West Virginia.
The organization will also open a partnership office at the downtown BB&T building in the coming months with three employees, said Fannie Mae spokeswoman Susan Adams. The office will ...
