Dec. 9--Amid the flashing high-definition TVs, blaring stereo systems and racks of DVDs, Best Buy stores are helping Web surfers fulfill their need for speed.
More than a year ago, the home-electronics chain started signing up customers for speedy broadband Internet access offered by providers like SBC Communications Inc. and Time Warner Cable. It now offers the fast hookups through all 600 of its stores.
