Dover, N.H., lobsterman James Newick's new boat was rolled out of it builder's shed and launched in nearby Eggemogin Reach in early October. The Lady Kell, a BHM 39, is the first commercial fishing boat Atlantic Boat Co. in Brooklin, Maine, has finished off in three years.
Most of the Duffy and BHM hulls that are for commercial fishing owners leave Atlantic Boat Co. as kit boats, like the Duffy 42 hull the yard was sending to lobsterman Mark Fernald on the island of Islesford, Maine. Fernald's boat was to leave the shop with a molded top, engine stringers and an 800-hp Caterpillar 3406E.
