Before the First Date or the First Kiss, an important rite of passage for young people is the First Concert.
Boy band, pop princess, TV star, nowadays that's who the 7- to 11-year-old newcomers typically see for their first big pop show.
An announced crowd of 10,000 mostly first-timers got an extra-special initiation Monday at KDWB's annual Jingle Ball at the Target Center in Minneapolis - an "American Idol," a Disney icon, MTV heroes and an ex-boy-band star.
Like these concertgoers, Kelly Clarkson, Hilary Duff, Simple Plan and 'N Sync's JC Chasez gone solo don't have a lot of concert performing ...
