Like bathroom scales that determine a person's body-fat percentage and track weight over time, vehicle scales have grown more sophisticated in recent years, especially when combined with computer software.
Vehicle scales are essential to knowing how much material enters a landfill, transfer station or other waste facility, and their accuracy and capabilities can improve the efficiency and operations of waste companies and their customers, said Dylan Hardy, Mettler Toledo's market manager for vehicle weighing.
