Insurance consolidation worries industry
The trend toward centralization among insurance companies has independent insurance agencies looking down the road. Some companies are withdrawing their physical presence from Mississippi; others are reducing the number of lines they offer independent agents. Or they may be expecting the independent agent to write more business.
