What would you expect to find in "The Black Parade"? A death-marching band? No-hope floats?
Monday night at WaMu Theater, My Chemical Romance turned "The Black Parade," the most rousing punk-pop concept album since Green Day's "American Idiot," into a night at the rock opera. Appearing in uniform as The Black Parade, looking like the skeleton crew of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the New Jersey quintet (plus keyboardist James Dewees) essentially provided its own supporting act.
