SYDNEY, Dec 11 Asia Pulse - The Australian dollar was weaker at noon as sellers began lining up for some pre-Christmas profit taking, an analysts said.

At 1200 AEDT the Australian dollar was trading at .7365/70 compared with yesterday's close of 0.7397/02.

Overnight, the local unit reached a high of 74.11 US cents and a low of 73.65 US cents before opening a fraction below 74 US cents.

MMS International strategist Glen Bull said the Australian dollar headed south in the domestic session due to broad US dollar buying.
