2003 DEC 17 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Radiotracer-based strategies for imaging angiogenesis are still on the horizon.
"Tumor-induced angiogenesis plays an important role in tumor progression. Great efforts are made to develop therapeutic strategies to interfere with this process resulting in the starvation of the tumor. However, strategies to monitor conventional therapies seems to be inappropriate to control these approaches," scientists in Germany report.
