It was hard to look through a magazine this year -- or walk down any city street for that matter -- without seeing Louis Vuitton's latest must-have bags and shoes, bedecked with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami's colorful re-working of the classic LV logo.
That logo redesign -- a result of the collaboration between Murakami and Louis Vuitton Creative Director Marc Jacobs -- as well as the spring '01 Stephen Sprouse graffiti bag before it, have helped foster a rebirth of sorts for the 150-year-old company.
